The Cross Creek Gorilla is classified as a critically endangered species with an estimated Wild population of just 280.  Their habitat loss and hunting by humans for meat and souvenirs of their hands and feet has led to the Cross Creek Gorilla now being considered one of the 25 most endangered animals on the surface of the planet.
